The Most Popular Form of Tai Chi taught by Yang Luchan

Yang Tai Chi Chuan

Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan is derivative of the Chen Style. It was passed from the Chen Chen Family to Yang Luchan and eventually to Cheng Man Ching, who created the famous Short Yang 37 move form.

Our Yang Tai Chi system comes from Dr. Tao Ping Siang, who was an indoor student of Master Cheng. Dr. Tao also studied under several other Tai Chi and internal Kung Fu masters. He trained Water Boxing (Liu He Ba Fa.) under Wu Yi Hui. Liu He Ba Fa strongly informed his presentation of Tai Chi. For these reasons our curriculum from him is slightly larger than other Cheng/Yang Lines.

Yang Tai Chi is part of our Internal Kung Fu Curriculum.

The Yang Tai Chi curriculum includes the Short Yang Form (24 Move), Cheng's Yang Form (37 Move), Yang Family Form, Separating Palms Two Person Form, Straight Sword, Push Hands, Application, and San Shou.
