Cranial Sacral 1 Training

The Soft Touch method of Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a form of energy healing used to provide relief from a number of ailments. This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST). Some experience in a healing modality is helpful.

This workshop is ideal for those who want to integrate Cranial Sacral into their own healing practice or those who want to use it to help their family and friends.

We will build a fundamental understanding of Cranial Sacral Therapy in general and of this style (often called the "French Style CST")  specifically. The goal of this version of CST is to keep the individual grounder in the body and in deep contact with herself and other living beings. It balances the body's energy, so it can heal physical, emotional or spiritual ailments.

The workshop balances actual hands on practice, theory and the training of your clinical eye. You will learn to SEE when and where your client is carrying stress and what a Socially Engaged face and body looks like. You will learn a protocol that enables you to help people so you can use your new knowledge right away.

The workshop will include a brief historical background or CST, relevant anatomy and an introduction to the Autonomic Nervous system and Steven Porges Social Engagement Theory.

We will work with:
- The Atlas/ Occipital Joint
- Stretching of the Dural Tube
- Balancing bones of the Vertebrae
- Learn to differentiate a stressed versus Socially Engaged person - -- Speeding up a slow rhythm
- Relaxing the Diaphragms
- Working with the TMJ

The soft touch method can be used effectively for relaxation and enhancement of flow on any body tissues (bones, teeth, connective tissue, muscles etc). It is effective for pain treatment and balancing of posture. It is safe to use on anyone (the elderly, sick, animals, children), providing the skin is intact. CST is used for many common ailments including headache, neck pain, anxiety, depression, hyperactivity, learning disability and autism.

Sonja Aclon holds a degree from the Physical Therapy School of the University of Copenhagen. For five years she treated spinal cord injuries at Danish hospitals and during this period she was drawn to Cranial Sacral work and other advanced healing modalities. She has a private practice in Copenhagen and Hawaii and teaches throughout Scandinavia and the United States.
