This course is part of the Applied Qigong for Holistic Healing Certification Program, a 36 hour professional development program designed for those who wish to learn the healing and cultivation methods of traditional Chinese Qigong.

Purpose

This course teaches the participants how to connect with nature for replenishing and balancing the physical and spiritual energy, and how to access the healing source by establishing unity and harmony. The combination of Qigong meditation, movements and healing sounds will build a solid foundation for holistic health professionals, and help them to stay balanced and strong in their practice.

Course Objectives: upon completion, the participant will be able to

1. Describe the basic concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the basic Five Elements Principle and its application

2. Demonstrate eight Qigong movements called the “Eight Pieces of Brocades of Silk”

3. Demonstrate  the ancient Taoist healing sounds, used to detoxify and replenish the energy of the five major organs

4. Discuss application of the “Five Elements” Chinese Meditation in personal life and holistic practice

5. Demonstrate selective self-healing techniques, including acupressure

6. Discuss the ways and means of bringing the benefits of Qigong to the wider holistic nursing community and beyond

Successful completion of this course will result in the awarding of a Certificate of Completion for 6 contact hours.
