Gu Zheng: Ancient Chinese Zither
Both Children's and Adult Classes available. This is a beginner’s class taught by TCCII instructor, Ms. Bing Xia, a prominent Gu Zheng virtuoso and educator. Gu Zheng is a Chinese string-instrument with at least 2500 years of history, and its 21 strings and over 5 feet long body had inspired countless songs and melodies. It is without any doubt the most prominent and popular instrument in both classic and folk music in China. In this class, you will not only learn the basic techniques of playing Guzheng, enjoy classic music inspired by nature, but also experience its calming effects from its profound and beautiful vibrations. No music experience required.
